MSE retaining structures are engineered soil structures designed to stabilize and reinforce slopes, embankments, and retaining walls.

The slope protection system is composed by two parts:

Wire Mesh Units (Gabions and Hexagonal Wire Mesh):

Wire mesh units are used primarily for structural support and facing in slope protection systems.

3D Geo Network System:

3D geo network consists of high-density polypropylene fibers woven into a network, integrating wire cables and connectors within the system. This network is used with gabion wire mesh units to ensures that the entire slope protection structure is cohesive and reinforced.

Double twisted wire mesh is used.

Modular wire mesh units made from high-strength grid from double twisted steel wire mesh heavily galvanized Galmac (ZN-5%АI-ММ) alloy according to EN 10244-2 and PVC coated.

Dimeter of the wire (mesh): Ø2,70/3,70 mm
Diameter of the edge wire: Ø3,40/4,40 mm
Tensile strength of the wire: 350 - 550 N/mm2 (EN 10223-3)
Elongation: not less than 8% according to EN 10223-3.
Type of mesh: 8x10 cm with tolerance -0/+10 mm (EN 10223-3).
Outwearing accelerated aging test with carbon dioxide (28 cycles) according to EN ISO 6988.
UV Resistance: Tensile strength and elongation merge after exposure to 4000 hours of UV rays and can not exceed 25% of the first test according to ISO 4892-2.
Polymer Coating Corrosion resistance: Less than 5% dark brown rust after 6000 hours of salt spray (ISO 9227)

Hexagonal Wire Mesh

Hexagonal mesh grid for slope protection mesh 10x8 cm, wire thickness 2.7 mm, the tensile strength of the hexagonal mesh is 50kN/m. The steel mesh is galvanized with Zn-Al 5% alloy.

3D Geomaterials Net Work

Geomaterials and Protection Nets are essential components for slope protection in highway construction projects.
3D geosynthetic nets for highway slope protection works are cable integrated network system. Supplied with connecting materials (cables and frogs).

Material: High-density polypropylene fibers with a minimum density of 450 g/m² (EN ISO 9864)
Nominal Net Thickness: Minimum 12 mm (EN ISO 9863-1)
Connection: Load-bearing anti-erosion net panels are connected with T3 steel connectors with a minimum diameter of 4.0 mm without overlapping, galvanized min. 150g/m2.
Supporting Net End: Edge rope ø10 mm, fixed to anchors ø14.5 mm on the edges of the slope.
